Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how CapSoft, Inc., a Texas corporation in the United States ("CapSoft," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and retains personal information when you use Cloudwork and its weather, map, account, network, conversion, generation, and related features (the "Service").
1. Scope
This Policy applies to personal information processed through the Service. It does not govern third-party websites or services that have their own privacy policies. By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described here.
2. Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address, password hash, two-factor authentication information and recovery-code hashes when enabled, account status, interface settings, saved locations, favorites, alerts, and related account preferences. We do not request additional profile information.
Technical and usage information. We may collect your IP address, request and security logs, dates and times of access, pages and features used, referring URLs, browser and device details, cookie identifiers, advertising identifiers, and approximate location inferred from an IP address.
Tool inputs. We process information you submit to weather searches, maps, IP tools, converters, generators, image tools, and other utilities to return the requested result. These inputs are not intended as permanent storage, but they may appear temporarily in application, security, or infrastructure logs.
Communications. If you contact us, we collect your email address and the content of your message so we can respond.
3. How we collect information
We collect information directly from you, automatically from your browser or device, and from service providers that help us operate, secure, analyze, advertise, and improve the Service.
4. How we use information
We use personal information to provide and personalize the Service; authenticate accounts and support two-factor authentication; save settings, favorites, and alerts; answer requests; maintain security and prevent abuse; diagnose problems; measure performance and usage; understand how features are used; display and measure advertising; comply with law; and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
5. Legal bases for processing
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar laws apply, we process personal information as necessary to perform our agreement with you, pursue legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, comply with legal obligations, and protect vital interests where appropriate. We rely on consent for non-essential analytics or advertising cookies where consent is legally required. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.
6. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
Cloudwork uses essential cookies and similar technologies for login sessions, security, authentication, and preferences. We also use Google Analytics to understand traffic and feature usage and Google Ads to deliver and measure advertising. Google may receive information such as the page URL, IP address, browser or device information, cookie identifiers, and advertising identifiers, and may set or read cookies in your browser.
You can manage cookies through your browser and manage personalized Google advertising through Google's advertising settings. Blocking cookies may prevent account, preference, or other features from working correctly. Where required by law, non-essential analytics and advertising technologies should be used only after the required consent has been obtained.
7. When we disclose information
We disclose information only as reasonably necessary to operate the Service, including to Google for Analytics and Ads; WeatherAPI for weather requests; OpenStreetMap and map-tile providers for maps; content-delivery networks that serve application libraries; our email provider for account and service messages; and hosting, infrastructure, security, and professional-service providers acting on our behalf.
We may also disclose information to comply with law or valid legal process; protect users, CapSoft, or third parties; investigate fraud or abuse; enforce our agreements; or complete a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not authorize service providers to use personal information for purposes unrelated to the services they provide to us.
8. Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising
We do not sell personal information for money. Our use of Google Ads and related advertising technologies may be considered "sharing," targeted advertising, or cross-context behavioral advertising under some privacy laws even when no money is exchanged. Where applicable, you may opt out by emailing info@cloud-work-utilities.com, using available cookie or privacy controls, or enabling a legally recognized opt-out preference signal in your browser where supported.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under eighteen (18).
9. Retention
We retain IP addresses, request logs, browser information, and related operational or security records for up to three years. Account data is retained while the account remains active. When an account is deleted following a verified request, account data is deleted without an additional post-deletion retention period. Operational and security logs created before deletion may remain for the balance of their three-year retention period, unless a longer period is required by law or necessary for a legal claim.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know or access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; request deletion; restrict or object to processing; receive portable data; withdraw consent; opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling; limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; and appeal a denied request. You may also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority.
To exercise a right, email info@cloud-work-utilities.com. Describe your request and the account or email address involved. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, subject to verification.
11. California notice
California residents may request access to, correction of, or deletion of covered personal information and may opt out of its sale or sharing. The categories we may collect are identifiers; internet or electronic-network activity; approximate geolocation; account credentials and other information that may be considered sensitive; commercial or preference information associated with saved features; and inferences drawn from usage. We collect and disclose these categories for the business and commercial purposes described above. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
12. International transfers
CapSoft is located in the United States, and information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate. Those countries may have different privacy laws than your country. Where required, we use recognized transfer safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism.
13. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No security measure, transmission method, or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your password, two-factor authentication device, and recovery codes.
14. Adults only
The Service is intended only for people who are at least eighteen (18) years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under eighteen. If we learn that an ineligible minor has provided personal information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it and may suspend or terminate the related account.
15. Automated decisions
We do not use personal information to make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Analytics and advertising systems may create audiences or inferences for measurement and advertising as described in this Policy.
16. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the Service, our practices, or applicable law. We will post the revised Policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required.
